Description At the Imperial Chemical Industries Research Laboratories in England, all new drugs are thoroughly tested for toxicity in animals and then in man for approximately one year. The effects of tranquilizers and stimulants are tried out on mice. Our photo shows mice in a cage equipped with a photo beam cell which records their activity after they have been given the drugs.
