Description WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus received a visit from His Excellency President Daniel Francisco Chapo of the Republic of Mozambique, at WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, on 21 October 2025. 
Posting on X after the meeting, Dr Tedros said: Great honour to welcome President Daniel Francisco Chapo of #Mozambique to @WHO today. During his visit, the President presented us with a beautiful gift: an artwork known as Ujamaha, which symbolises unity for common good like HealthForAll. The President and I discussed @WHO's partnership with Mozambique on malaria and cholera control; routine immunization, including polio; emergency preparedness, especially strengthening lab and disease surveillance capacities. I commended President's commitment to community health and primary health care, as main pillars of universal health coverage in the country. I assured the President of WHO's commitment to continue working together to promote and protect the health of all Mozambicans and Africans. Together!
