On 7 March 2024, WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus met with UK Member of Parliament Lisa Nandy at WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
In a post on his X account on 8 March 2024, Dr Tedros said:
"I met with @lisanandy, UK Member of Parliament. We discussed the need for sustainable financing of @WHO to meet the global health needs, as well as our response in #Gaza. Thanked her for the UK's strong political support to WHO, and longstanding partnership."
