Historical collection: People with disabilities
Description
With help from a Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programme, this disabled Indian boy is learning how to walk, dress and bath himself.
Deepu, of Kerala, India, has learning difficulties. At three he could neither stand, walk nor look after himself. His mother trained him, helped by the local health worker. Now four, Deepu can walk, dress and bath himself. He goes happily to pre-school and plays with his friends.
