Description HEARTBEATS ON THE RADIO

The sound of the dog’s heart beats is picked up by a microphone stuck to his fur over the region of the heart and is broadcast by a miniature transmitter attached to his collar. The radio receiver records the broadcast. The dog is quite unhampered and free to move about, so his heart rate can be observed under natural conditions without any suffering. The method can also be applied to human beings: the conditions of astronauts in outer space is recorded by similar means. With this method great progress may be achieved in cardiology since observations can be made from afar, over long periods of time and in practically any circumstances.

Dog with transmitter attached to his neck.
