Description
Accredited social health activitsts, or "ASHAs" are the link between communities in India and primary health services. ASHAs will each have about 400 households under their area of responsibility. Their main role is as educator and promoter - ensuring families have the informatoin they need to access maternal and child healh services, including immunization. ASHAs also keep line lists of the people in their community, and this can help health workers plan services including immunization sessions. Gautampuri, Delhi August 2019.
