Description India. Odisha. Puri. Outside the village of Chhenua. Farmer Kallu Pradhan (54), is driving away a herd of goats from his paddy field. Kallu has lost his entire betel cultivation, due to a heatwave wich hit the region in the summer month of 2015. Apart from that the region is vulnerable to cyclones and tsunamis. When in 1999 a cyclone hit the coast, the village Chennua got destroyed and was later rebuilt further inland. Kallu's and three other families still stay at the old place as they don't have the financial means to set up at the new location. © Florian Lang
