Nurse training in the WHO Eastern Mediterranean region
Description
There can never be too many nurses - especially in Middle Eastern and Eastern countries.Â
To help provide more nurses and raise the standard of nursing and nursing education in Egypt and other Middle Eastern countries, WHO is assisting the Higher Institute of Nursing, Alexandria, to train young women of high educational standard as graduate nurses, nurse instructors and administrators for service in their own countries. Nurses come from many countries included in the Eastern Mediterranean Region of WHO, including the Sudan, Iraq, Jordan and Syria.
Our photo shows two girl students studying in the library of the Institute.
