Description
The University of Alexandria's Higher Institute of Nursing. Established with the assistance of the World Health Organization, the Institute operated within the University's Faculty of Medicine. Completion of the secondary school programme, with the Secondary School Certificate, was required for admission to the Institute.
Using a doll, this trainee from the Higher Institute of Nursing demonstrates to a group of women the proper techniques for bathing infants. She is one of many young women from the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean Region who are enrolled in courses at the Institute.
