Cardiovascular diseases in the WHO European region
Description
A telephone call... a heart case is rushed through the streets of Moscow. A concentrated offensive against heart attacks is being conducted in Moscow with the most modern methods. For the patient with a coronary heart attack, the first hours and days after the attack are the most important, particularly when there is severe shock. As soon as a serious case is diagnosed anywhere in Moscow, the central information exchange for emergencies and ambulance dispatch post is informed and a specially trained team in charge of a physician is sent at once to fetch the patient in an ambulance that has emergency equipment on board.
The scream of the sirens... an ambulance equipped with oxygen, anaesthetics, etc. rushes a heart case in the streets of Moscow.
