Physician looking at his screen, which represents the actions of the Cyberknife. The Cyberknife robot represents the highest available technology for precise radiotherapies protecting as much as possible healthy cells around a tumour. With this robot, all rays required for a treatment can be applied from all possible angles around the targeted cells in a body, so that other cells are crossed only once during a treatment session. The Centre Léon Bérard, Lyon, France, is a specialized hospital on cancer. It develops high profile treatments, clinical research, fundamental research and teaching activities. Among other partnerships, it works closely with WHO scientific researchers of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC).
