Headline
Water, sanitation and hygiene in Afghanistan
Description
On 25 March 2021 residents of the Shaidayee informal settlement, on the eastern outskirts of Herat, Afghanistan, collect water for cooking, cleaning and drinking from a hand pumped well.
The majority of residents of Shaidayee were displaced from their homes by a combination of conflict and drought from the provinces of Badghis and Faryab.
