Headline Agreement of Support by the Government of the Republic of India for the WHO Global Traditional Medicine Centre, 31 July 2024 
Description An event to mark the signing of an Agreement of Support by the Government of the Republic of India for the World Health Organization Global Traditional Medicine Centre was held at WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, on 31 July 2024. The Government of India committed US$ 85 million over 10 years, 2022–2032, to support the programming of the Centre.

Other participants included Shri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha (online), Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India; H.E. Mr. Arindam Bagchi, Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva; Dr Bruce Aylward, WHO Assistant Director-General, Universal Health Coverage, Life Course; Dr Razia Pendse, Chef de Cabinet, representing Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General, WHO.
