Description Villa El Salvador - The town is based on a dry, sand bowl of land. Water provision is a problem, as is the 16,000 tones of garbage that is produced each day. Dumping of household waste in open areas, such as by the roadside here, remains a problem, despite the community-initiated waste collection services that have increased collection and proper disposal by 200%.
