Headline Occupational health in the WHO European region 
Description Worker technician in modern factories - 30000 workers were employed in the Opel factory at Rüsselsheim (Germany). Their health was looked after 16 hours out of 24 by 6 medical teams (8 doctors, 31 nurses, 2 masseurs, 1 masseuse and 12 laboratory workers). The health services of such big factories were concerned with first aid, accident prevention, occupational diseases and hygiene generally, and they also had to solve problems like noise, air pollution and the recruitment of suitable staff.

Large and modern washrooms with showers and round wash basins are available.
