Description 14,000 different articles for 600 pilot and health demonstration projects: WHO is not a supply organization - its chief commodity is brains. The organization relied on UNICEF (The United Nations Children's Fund) and the United Nations Expanded Technical Assistance Programme for equipment needed for many of the major heath schemes carried out with international assistance. Nevertheless, WHO does provide supplies in limited quantities for certain pilot projects, etc.

The Health Centers of the HDA are provided with play corners equipped with simple toys for children. This is a play corner in the Clinic at Nejapa, El Salvador.
