Description
Surgery of inturned eyelids (trichiasis) due to trachoma is a common and important task for health personnel, such as ophthalmic nurses. This training is imparted in Africa in courses of 6-12 months, making the nurses capable of safely performing this surgery as part of conducting a rural eye clinic.
