Description With the support of the Ministry of Health and Medical industry of Turkmenistan, the WHO Country Office in Turkmenistan and UNICEF together organized a briefing for media representatives on immunization issues during European Immunization Week 2019. Media outreach and capacity-building: With the support of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the WHO Country Office in Turkmenistan and UNICEF jointly organized a briefing for media representatives on immunization issues. As influencers of public opinion, journalists have an important role to play in providing their readers with evidence-based information about vaccines. Accurate reporting can help increase the public’s awareness of the facts and sustain general trust in vaccines. Several capacity-building events were organized again this year to ensure that journalists are well informed about vaccines and the diseases they prevent. Sensibilisation des médias et renforcement des capacités : avec l’appui du ministère de la Santé et de l’Industrie médicale du Turkménistan, le bureau de pays de l’OMS au Turkménistan et l’UNICEF ont organisé conjointement une séance d’information sur les questions de vaccination à l’adresse des représentants des médias. En tant qu’influenceurs de l’opinion publique, les journalistes ont un rôle important à jouer en publiant des informations factuelles sur les vaccins à l’intention de leurs lecteurs. La communication de données précises et exactes à ce sujet peut aider à sensibiliser davantage le public, et à garantir la confiance générale dans les vaccins. Plusieurs activités de renforcement des capacités ont été une nouvelle fois organisées cette année afin que les journalistes soient bien informés sur les vaccins et les maladies qu’ils préviennent. Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit sowie Kapazitätsaufbau: Mit Unterstützung des Gesundheitsministeriums und der pharmazeutischen Industrie Turkmenistans organisierten das WHO-Länderbüro in Turkmenistan und UNICEF gemeinsam eine Informationsveranstaltung für Vertreter der Medien zur Impfthematik. Als Einflussnehmer auf die öffentliche Meinung spielen Journalisten eine wichtige Rolle bei der Bereitstellung evidenzbasierter Informationen über Impfstoffe. Eine korrekte Berichterstattung kann dazu beitragen, das Bewusstsein der Öffentlichkeit für die Tatsachen zu stärken und das allgemeine Vertrauen in Impfungen zu erhalten. Auch in diesem Jahr wurden wieder verschiedene Veranstaltungen zum Kapazitätsaufbau organisiert, um sicherzustellen, dass Journalisten gut über Impfstoffe und die durch sie verhinderten Krankheiten informiert sind. Работа со СМИ и повышение потенциала: при поддержке Министерства здравоохранения и медицинской промышленности Туркменистана Страновым офисом ВОЗ в Туркменистане и ЮНИСЕФ был совместно организован брифинг по вопросам иммунизации для представителей СМИ. Журналисты участвуют в формировании общественного мнения, поэтому их роль в распространении научно обоснованной информации о вакцинах трудно переоценить. Достоверное освещение позволяет повысить осведомленность населения о вакцинации и поддерживать общий уровень доверия вакцинам. В этом году вновь были организованы мероприятия по повышению потенциала журналистов, с тем чтобы обеспечить их хорошую информированность о вакцинах и заболеваниях, которые можно предотвратить с помощью них.
