Description
Mai Van Chuyen and commune youth union members install a mobile swimming pool in the villages to teach children to swim.Mai Van is a teacher in Dak Lak and a champion for children’s safety in the water. By bringing swimming lessons and water safety skills to children in rural communities free of charge, he is contributing to reducing the rates of children drowning. In Viet Nam, drowning remains one of the leading causes of death among children. According to an estimate in 2020, more than 2,000 children aged under 16 years have lost their lives every year due to drowning.
