Mental health in the WHO European region
Description
The mental health pilot project in North Häme district of Finland had its headquarters at the Pitkämiemen Central Mental Hospital. With a capacity of 700 beds the hospital had a staff of 19 doctors, 70 qualified nurses, 178 mental health nurses, 3 psychologists, 2 physical therapists as well as vocational trainers.
According to their skills, patients perform artistic or maintenance activities.
