Description
An extended view of the Mbera camp in Bassikounou, which is a Malian refugee camp. A desert landscape can be seen punctuated by multiple temporary shelters and corrugated iron structures, forming a vast expanse of precarious housing. Fences of branches delimit certain spaces, and in the middle of this landscape stands a large water tower, highlighting the importance of access to drinking water in such conditions. The sky is clear with a light mist of suspended sand, typical of desert regions. This image represents the difficult realities faced by refugees, as well as ongoing efforts to provide shelter and basic resources to those displaced by the conflict.
