Description The Osaka Pollution Control Centre is connected by radio with the main pollution-producing factories in the area. The office contains apparatus which registers automatically the degree of air pollution produced in a given area. Lights in four colors indicate to what extent pollution presents a health problem. Factories in the affected area can then be warned to lower their fuel consumption until atmospheric conditions improve.
