Description
The advent of powerful anti-tuberculosis drugs has brought hope of recovery throughout the world to millions of people who previously had none. The medical profession, too, was faced with a new situation: new methods of controlling TB were evolving, among them home treatment, which altered the entire approach to the world problem. All this emerged from intensive investigations carried out by WHO in cooperation with a number of agencies and government authorities in India and elsewhere.

The young doctor from Ceylon examines the patient while the WHO Public Health Nurse, Miss Hudson, explains to the family the needs of the patient.
